How to apply?

Follow these simple steps to assist you to confirm your seat on one of our courses

Step 1

Read through all the information about the course and understand the details regarding The Academy of Aviation Initial Flight Attendant Course.  Upon registration we have a non-refundable administration fee of R500,

Step 2

If you would like to attend one of our Initial Flight Attendant Course or Super Flight Attendant Course, complete online the #Registration Form, then download it. Email the completed form and a copy of your ID to The Academy of Aviation email address,

By doing this, you will tentatively reserve your seat on the course dates you have selected.

Step 3

Obtain your Class 2 Medical Certificate by arranging a medical examination with a SACAA accredited Medical Examiner. You can refer to the SACAA website ( for the latest list of recommended medical examiners or contact The Academy of Aviation for a list.

Once you are in possession of a valid Class 2 Medical certificate, email a copy of the medical certificate to The Academy of Aviation email address, and bring the original on your first day of training.

Step 4

Complete and sign the Student Training agreement, which details the terms and conditions.

Step 5

The Academy of Aviation will email you an invoice with the course cost.  On the invoice you will find the banking details for The Academy of Aviation to deposit monies into for the course.  Please use your full name as a reference or use our E Commerce with Credit Card payment or instant EFT on this website. #Click here for E Commerce Payment

Step 6

Once you have completed the payment, email the proof of payment as soon as possible to

You are then welcome to make arrangements to collect the Safety and Emergency Training Manual so that pre-course reading and studying can commence. This pre-course preparation is not essential but can be beneficial

This will confirm your seat on the relevant course date reflected on your Registration Form.

The Academy of Aviation will communicate your course confirmation, in writing

Please bring this confirmation with you on your first day of training, with a copy of your Identity Document (ID) and four (4) colour passport photographs

Please note that confirmation on a course will be on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis.

Where a course is full, the Academy of Aviation will endeavour to accommodate you on the next available course of your choice!

Please note that full payment needs to be made on completion of the course, to receive your Licence and Qualification

Please Note: No refunds will be given should a student choose to leave the course after the course has commenced.

If the student pays, does not attend the first class and decides not attend the course a 10% handling fee will be charged
