Take the first step towards becoming a qualified Remote Pilot with The Academy of Aviation, a South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) accredited Aviation Training Organisation – ATO No. 1056.
Our Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) training programme is designed to equip aspiring drone pilots with the theoretical knowledge, practical flying skills and aviation safety competencies required to pursue professional opportunities within the rapidly growing drone industry.
Registration Fee
- 2026 Registration Fee: R2,000.00
- 2027 Registration Fee: R2,250.00
What Does Your Registration Fee Cover?
Your registration fee covers the administrative processing of your enrolment and reserves your place in your selected RPC training intake, subject to availability and meeting the Academy’s admission requirements.
Please Note:
- The registration fee is separate from the RPC training course fee.
- Registration fees are non-refundable in accordance with the Academy’s terms and conditions, subject to applicable consumer protection legislation.
- Registration does not constitute payment for the full training programme.
- A formal quotation for your RPC training will be issued separately.
- Full payment of the training fees is required before commencement of training.
RPC Training Requirements
Prospective students must:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Hold a minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- Meet the applicable aviation medical requirements.
- Demonstrate the necessary English language competency.
- Complete the Academy’s required enrolment documentation.
